Harris Westminster Sixth Form

Harris Westminster combines the strengths of Westminster School in teaching academically able students with the Harris Federation’s experience in establishing and running outstanding maintained sector schools across London. Our academic offer, ethos and approach to learning are all highly demanding and present a challenge and opportunity to able students who are keen to make the most of their potential. We are academically selective and successful applicants will spend two years with other able and ambitious students being stretched in lessons and provided with encouragement and opportunity to extend themselves out of lessons so that they are fully equipped to gain places at and then succeed in the top universities.

The experience is well summed up by one of our students: “I feel like I’m learning immense amounts. The pace we’re going at is ferocious; it’s brilliant because it means that I’m being stretched every day.”

King Solomon Academy

King Solomon Academy

King Solomon Academy sixth form provides its students with a genuine university-preparatory education. As a very small school, every sixth former receives small-group teaching, allowing everyone the attention required to flourish academically. Our course choices are focussed around traditional competitive academic subjects: we offer 14 subjects which are all considered to be facilitating subjects by universities. The atmosphere in sixth form classrooms is one of grown-up, calm, discursive, challenging study. We additionally seek to enhance all of our sixth formers as leaders. As such every sixth former commits to 2 hours of volunteering within their timetable, takes part in elective studies of their own choice, chooses Enrichment activities which broaden their horizons and completes work experience in a professional context fitting for their career aspirations. The mission statement of KSA is one which we take seriously: ‘to provide a transformational education which prepares our students for success at university and beyond.’ If this vision matches up with your own ambitions, please apply via the online application form featured on our website.
